A bit of history: Gene approached me about the Renewal Concept about a year before we went on the air. It was a challenge to produce this program, but the advent of affordable digital audio workstations in 1989, made it possible. I grew up with the Digidesign system and originally put this program together on the 2-track system.

For all the Techies out there: Renewal is now produced using a ProTools 24-bit 32 track recording system, on a Macintosh. Gene uses a Shure SM-7 mic and our announcer uses a Neumann TLM-170 when he is in the studio. Otherwise he is connecting from home via a digital (ISDN) phone line. The Renewal studio uses a Allen&Heath Saber series recording console and DBX 160 compression during recording. After that, it is all digital.

I also maintain the Renewal web site as well as the ever-popular Fellowship Online, a community building online system for members of Fellowship Bible Church North.
